i think the The Gnomon Workshop - Tutorials for visual effects artists, concept designers, sculptors and comic book illustrators and traditional artists using Maya, ZBrush, 3ds Max, Photoshop and Painter as well as traditional drawing and painting. offers the best trainig DVDs. u might wanna try Digital-Tutors as well. sometimes u cant find an appropriate training DVD on gnomonworkshop for the begining point of a section in maya or any other software. thats when u should try finding it on digitaltutors.
